What is a yellow card?

Do yellow cards expire?
Yes, yellow cards do expire and you will need to complete a refresher course after a period of five years. You’ll be notified when the expiry date is drawing near by the EWPA, so that arrangements can be made to complete a refresher course.
Do you need a yellow card to operate a scissor lift?
A yellow card is a ticket issued by the Elevated Work Platform Association (EWPA). This certification can be obtained by completing a training course to learn the skills needed to work in a safe and responsible way. Without a nationally recognised unit of competency, you cannot operate a scissor lift.
How do I get a yellow card?
To get a yellow card, you’ll need to undertake a training course. This will involve a range of learning methods, including written activities, verbal questions, observation and practical demonstrations.
