Confined Spaces Ticket - Confined Spaces Training Certificate - MultiSkills Training

In this Confined Space Ticket course you will learn the skills to enter confined spaces, for maintenance, servicing of vessels or other necessary reasons. You will also learn skills to understand permits and their limitations for confined spaces as well as the observer role for permits requiring a safety observer.

Confined spaces are commonly found in vats, tanks, pits, pipes, ducts, flues, chimneys, silos, containers, pressure vessels, underground sewers, wet or dry wells, shafts, trenches, tunnels or other similar enclosed or partially enclosed structures. A space becomes a defined confined space if work carried out in it could generate harmful concentrations of airborne contaminants.

Once participants have completed the Enter and work in confined spaces course, they will receive the nationally recognised unit of competency RIIWHS202E – Enter and work in confined spaces.

Upon completing the confined space training certificate course, students will also have an understanding of the work permit system and will know exactly what certain work permits entitle them to and what their limitations are, plus they’ll gain an understanding how to comply with regulations while working in confined spaces.

As MultiSkills Training is not CRICOS approved we are unable to enrol any students that are on a student VISA, if you are on a student VISA you will need to go to a TAFE or RTO that is CRICOS approved.

Recognised Prior Learning (RPL)

MultiSkills Training has reviewed the structure and delivery of this unit and determined that Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is not offered for this course.

Due to the short duration of the program, the time and effort required for a student to gather sufficient evidence and complete a formal RPL application is likely to exceed the time it would take to complete the training and assessment. In addition, the RTO resources required to assess and validate RPL applications for this course make the process not viable or efficient in this context.

This decision aligns with the guidance outlined in the Outcome Standards Policy Guidance (Standards for RTOs 2025), which recognises that RPL may not be appropriate or practical in all circumstances.

MultiSkills Training is committed to transparency and fairness. Is there Recognised Prior Learning (RPL)?

I’m currently studying the 15-Day Civil Construction course with Multiskills Training, and honestly, I couldn’t be happier with the experience so far. A huge shout-out to Sean, who runs the course. Sean doesn’t mess around when it comes to safety, procedures and making sure you actually understand the knowledge behind civil construction. He explains everything in a way that makes it easy to understand, so you don’t walk away feeling completely dumbfounded.
