Frequently Asked Questions

What is a construction induction card?

A construction induction card, or white card, signifies that you have completed all required training and can safely and efficiently work on a range of job sites. It is a mandatory ticket that provides clearance to work on sites throughout Victoria. Without one, you cannot seek employment in the construction industry.

How much does a white card cost?

The cost of a white care course is $150 per person. This covers the training needed to work on a job site in Victoria in a safe and efficient way. Requirements include written activities and verbal questions.

Are online white cards accepted in Victoria?

A white card course must be completed face-to-face. This is to maintain a high standard of teaching for everyone undertaking the training. WorkSafe Victoria does not permit online delivery of the white card course. At MultiSkills, our courses are conducted by industry experts at either our Geelong or Werribee location.

How long does it take to get a white card?

The time needed to get a white card is 1 day. The courses on offer at MultiSkills are designed to take into account different learning styles and training delivery requirements. We understand that people have busy schedules and work to ensure that everyone can get the best training in a way that suits individual needs.

How long does a construction induction card last?

Under the current legislation, white cards do not expire but it is recommended that you refresh your knowledge by completing a new course if you have been absent from the construction industry for more than 2 years.
